The melodians-Rivers of Babylon

Otra de esas canciones reggae con simbología de los textos bíblicos. Aunque fue popularizada más tarde en otra versión por Boney M. El tema original pertenece a los Melodians. El texto está extraído de Salmo 137:1,3,4,. Si Babilonia tiene la representación que comentamos en la entrada de The Ruts Zion o Sion es el nombre dado a Jerusalen y simboliza la tierra perdida e ideal.

The jamaicans-Baba boom

Temazo de rocksteady. Para escuchar y dejar  viajar al cuerpo desde el primer aaaaaahhhhh. con esta canción The Jamaicans ganaron el Jamaica Independece Festival en el año 67. Acompañando así en la lista de campeones a otras estrellas del reggae como Desmond Dekker o The Maytals, que lo consiguieron en otras ediciones.
